Response to They murdered our mother...

The nation of our ancestors, the Cherokee nation lives in our hearts, john and David have been fighting with warrior hearts giving out doses of truth that some find hard to swallow. Although it is devastating to finally see the truth in print, it is better to know the truth about "our" nation rather than listen to lies from propoganda machines.

a level playing field will not ensure that leaders of both tribes will respect each other, too many sticks and stones have been hurled back and forth. While we as individuals of both tribes are related, I do not see equality. Not until all the bad blood can be washed away.

Now the race is on to see who can make it first to the federal funds, sheer numbers of Cno's membership will always be prevalent. I hope and pray for new leaders of both tribes who can look to the future without malice.

In my mind there is room for all. David is so right on in his sentament. Now is not the time to crow or pity, it's time to get to work.
