I don't care if the UKB is the last man standing. What I care about is the bleeding of Cherokee resources in the meantime.
Losing my citizenship does not change who my family is and I have accepted no benefits. I would just have to quit identifying myself as Cherokee and start saying "descendant." I'm OK with that, but I don't expect that everybody similarly situated would be OK with that. Hence, the political support for having the legal bloodbath.
But the real support for the legal bloodbath is the leadership of both the CN and the UKB. Both are, at this time, believing they can be the last man standing. It does not matter which set of piggies is correct and it could be neither is--the limited resources that ought to belong to the Cherokees are going to be devoted to the battle IN THE US COURTS.
