TVB series

its been awhile since i got caught up with maggie's news.. but as i've known, maggie's new tvb series is with micheal miu kiu wai, and its a romanic historical series, i believe its set in the 1900s.. its about a real life famous woman, who made a big impact in chinese history.. cant remember her name, though.. sorry!! i believe that series has already started filming, since it was supposed to start on early august.. about songs of everlasting sorrows, its no longer called "songs of everlasting sorrows" but its is now named and offially called "to life, to love.." and when it'll air, i m unsure..

Maggie back at TVB

Maggie Cheung will be playing the 'Queen of Steamer Dumplings' in her new series and recently she has appeared in a simple costume back at TVB City to start work. However, since working too hard in China for 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow', she has come down with an illness.

After seeing a doctor, Maggie has found that she has a thyroid problem that requires a year and a half for treatment. During this time, she will have to take medicine, but possibly due to a reaction to the medication, it has caused her face to swell up slightly, especially her eyes. Maggie says: "The worst is that my moods have gone extremely bad, so I have to drink herbal teas to calm myself. (Both you and Sammi Cheng filmed the same story and have similar problems?) I don't know if she has this condition, but you can't compare it like that. It makes it seem like an unlucky omen."

Despite the hard work on the mainland, the money is good and Maggie admits that she will not let go of a chance to make some real money. She hopes that through TVB's ties, she can go and film more there.

Formal Resignation -- MCIFC will be closed

Dear all Maggie Fans,

I must make an end to this because this has dragged on for too long. I will be officially resigning from MCIFC as you are reading this email. MCIFC will be closed down in a few months time. This mailing list will be terminated by the end of this month. The club forum and public forum will be there but it will no longer be updated. I will no longer response to any emails regarding MCIFC.

I have offered my resignation to you guys 2 years ago and announced that I would only oversee MCIFC on a part-time basis while looking for a replacement. But so much have happened in this past 2 years that has changed my mind. The committee unexpectedly fell apart. The magic is gone. I was not able to revive the magic of the well established committee that was found by KF Tan, Irene Lim, Anita Le, Jas Yeung, and myself. Each of us has moved on with our lives and we none of us are planning on looking back. We are still fans of Maggie, but we cannot continue to devote so much of our lives for her. I tried to stick around, but in vain, I am now too occupied with my life I cannot devote any more time to MCIFC. I cannot give away MCIFC to others to handle due to sentimental reasons, and that Maggie has asked me to give her MCIFC as a gift. Yes, Maggie knows about my resignation for a long time now. I apologize if this has been meaning MCIFC was losing its popularity on the web.

I apologize that the June gathering in Hong Kong was not carried out. And the online auction will not take place either. At least it won't be hosted by MCIFC or myself if it ever takes place. My deepest apology, but I have asked for the items to be returned to Maggie.

There is nothing to hide. I have given all the MCIFC files to Maggie as my farewell present to her. As for what she plans to do with those files, I don't know. She might start up a website of her own using those files--so a good chance you'll see MCIFC again in a different form. Or she might give it to the other website, which will become (if not already is) official in place of MCIFC. But that is not an option I'd agree to if she had asked me. I only hope she'll respect my opinion.

The MCIFC Maggiera website will still be up for a few more months, so grab what you can, pictures, files, information, for your personal use. If you would like to make a website on Maggie, feel free to use anything from MCIFC -- www.maggiera.net, if you're kind you'll give MCIFC the credit and respect it deserves. Even though MCIFC will be gone, I hope the spirit of Maggie Fans will keep it alive. I hope you guys who are interested can revive it. It's now up for grabs.

I apologize if my decision appeared selfish, but if I had been selfish, the website would have been closed 2 years ago. I've been generous enough. I've been bothered by this long enough. Now I must make my peace with this. It's time for me to go. This chapter is closed.

Maggie will always have a special place in the committee's heart no matter what had happened, but let's leave it with some dignity and good feelings.

peeps, the forum's getting a little quiet lately. let's talk more abt maggie, shall we? uh, since when did u all like maggie? for me, i think it was when i started watching "old time buddies" part 1. or "cold blood warm heart", i can't remember. I've just finished watching "the king of yesterday and tmr" last night. yah it's not a new production, but they screen it in Singapore only a month ago. oh dear how i love that show! i think i'm gonna buy the vcd. but the ending isn't v gd, i have to say. cos they went through so much to be together, but it didn't really show how the cherished the chance.

btw, maggie is no longer with tvb right? how are we supposed to contact her and send her fan mail? can someone tell me please, thank you!

Good idea to create some noise over here. It is all too quiet.
Well, you can send your emails to webmaster and she will redirect
it to Maggie. No, Maggie is still with TVB. She still has one more
series to be filmed sometime in August.

Hmmm.. you must be a Singaporean. CBWH is still showing. I just
saw it tonite. Pretty long series but for Maggie, I think not many
episode left. If I remember correctly, she will appear in a few more
episodes and that's it. She will make an exit after that.

Can i suggest you fans to leave msgs in this forum or better the
private forum for members and we will let the webmaster inform
Maggie to visit the site and read all the lovely msgs you guys leave
for her. What do u think?

I can't really remember which episode she made the exit. It cud even be end July or
early August. Becos it is already screening epi 37 or 38. If I remember correctly, I think
she made an exit around epi 43 or there about. This series is very long.

Maggie is now in Shanghai. She will be attending the Shanghai Int'l Film Festival (SIFF) held between 11th to 19th June. She will be promoting "Chang Hen Ge". Go support her on 12th June in Shanghai.

Dear Maggie, Irene and all fans,

Thank you! You all have been very supportive to my lost of Frankie.

Frankie was my first first dog. He had been spending whole his life living with me and my maid. He was 16 years old. He witnessed my growth and whole of my career since I was 20 years old.
The vet, Dr Andrew Baker said he had lived a miracle. He was on the verge of dying last Christmas when I was in the middle of shooting 'Chang Han Ge' in Shanghai. His back legs got paralysed and his kidneys function declined. I cried my eyes out and could do nothing for him. My eyes swelled seriously on the next following shooting days. (You guys may probably notice this when watching CHG.) It was my friend, Miss Tang who brought his family vet Dr A. Baker who saved Frankie for me and he had waited for my return in Feburary 2005. Frankie had lived for another 4-5 months,(God granted me) I was truly happy that I spent these days with him at home, talking + whispering to him, playing with him, eating his favourite snack with him, even slept beside him for many nights.
Frankie seemed to have accepted his death with no regret and so did I. The vet and nurse came, he slept his whole way peacefully with satisfaction in my lap on 23rd evening 6 pm in my study.
I am better now, knowing Frankie is no longer relying on or owned to human. He is himself in heaven now with God n many friends. Both my maid and I dreamt about him. He was very happy in our dreams - running freely and having tea in the midde of a forest....

Thank for our Almighty God! Frankie left with no pain or sickness whatsoever. He just left for his good happiness. I felt happy for him instead. What more should i ask for?

Thank you guys ! I am prepared for my normal working schedule now and for the new drama series in this coming August.

Pray more and you will be listened ...trust me!
