My A-Pillar screws don't budge at all. I assume the hinge to door screws won't either. The problem is that the screws project beyond the nut plate, and the heavy rust on the projecting threads prevents the screw from turning back through the nut plate. By luck, the B-Pillar screws for the latch plates did come loose when I replaced the latches. I do have to get the doors off in order to weld in patches for the rust holes in the door bottoms. The front fenders need to come off anyway to weld in patches for the rust holes along the rear edges. I understand the front clip (grille, valence, and fenders) can come off in one piece. True? For other reasons, I have already removed and replaced the grille and radiator and radiator frame. Would it be easier to take those off first to get better access to the fender to cab bolts? Do those bolts go into caged nuts? If yes, I assume those bolts will also be rusted tight and that I will have to torque them off and drill and tap for new bolts. Correct? If you would post a detailed method for removing the front clip (similar to what you did for the door adjustment) I would much appreciate it. If this would include how to align the body panels upon reinstallation, that would be icing on the cake! Thanks in advance, Phil B.
