I must have gotten very lucky with this. I placed the glass into the new rubber gasket and placed some masking tape in four places on each piece of glass. (This I did before my son arrived). Once he was here I sprayed window cleaner into the channel that slides over the lip of the opening, then placed a length of approx. 1/16th nylon rope into the channel with the ends toward the outside of the glass. We then set the entire set-up on the dash and he applied some pressure on the inside and I pulled the rope toward the center of the windshield and toward the passenger door and it slid around very quickly. Had to tug a little harder at the upper left corner. Maybe because I was not to concerned about braking the old glass I did it faster than I otherwise might have. I had read the search info for windshield install and the shop manual. Lucky??? Jim B.
