I suspect that he did not use any sealer. I know I would not have because I never used any, they were taboo for many years since the newfangled gaskets appeared. The new replacement head gasket I have (most likely the same that is now on it) has no sealer that one would see on a modern head gasket. I suppose I could do a leak down test on each cylinder to narrow down where the leak is occurring. I will be adjusting the valves soon so I'll pull the head to replace the gasket.
Has anyone used a miracle sealer that you pour into the coolant?
