I used the 2R service manual to set the torque values for my M16. According to the 2R manual, the lock nut is torqued to 200-250 ft. lb. I got a big special socket made just for this from NAPA, but other parts stores also have them. Does your truck have 6 sided or 8 sided nuts? I believe that some earlier trucks used an 8 sided nut. I had one 8 sided on my M16, but I replaced them all with new 6 sided nuts. I have a socket for the 8 sided nuts but it cannot be used with a torque wrench as it only has a slot in the sides for a bar to be put through it for leverage. Be sure to adjust the wheel bearings to .0001" to .0005" end play according to RP618 using a dial indicator. Believe me, judging the tightness of those rear bearings by feel is just about impossible with all the drag from the inner and outer seals. I hope this helps, good luck.
