Oh I doubt if it's ever really done, especially if you actually drive the thing. Like a house there is always something that needs re-doing.
I met a guy once who was a painter on the Geo. Washington Bridge. Spent his whole life just painting that one bridge. One side to the other, then back to the beginning to start again.
The price of freedom is eternal maintenance.
