Seems that my wife in one of her organizing tirades, has put my Studebaker seervice somewhere but seems only she and God knows where and she can't remember.
My brother is here assistig me with my rear main seal, and gasskets. I need to know what the main bearing cap bolts are torqued to and the procedure for installint the cork gaskets at the main cap and the front of the oil pan.
I seem to recall that the excess at the ends is not supposed to be trimmed as it needs to compact the cork as the pan is tightened. Do you install with rtv, grease, or gsket cement. Need to have this info ASAP as tomorrow we need to fly to Florida for a Family Emergency.
