Help needed again.

Another problem. They keep cropping up. On the way home from a car show 2 weeks ago my clutch started slipping. Got home and pulled the trans. cover (hump) and took a look, oil on the outside of the bell-housing, looked in the hole into the bell-housing and found oil on the throwout bearing and everything I could see. No sign of oil on the exterior of the engine, just running down from the top of bell-housing. Wiped most of the oil from the bell-housing and started it up and drove down the drive way and back, the oil was coming out of the inspection hole in the top of bell-housing. Oil has the consistency of trans. grease/oil 40 wt. Is it possible that this leak is from the front bearing of the trans.??

Have been on vacation but planing to pull the trans. tomorrow. What should I look for? Maybe rear seal of the engine???? 1953 2R5 champ eng with O/D.
