smell it. If it smells like engine oil then the rear crank oil seal is shot. If it smells like transmission oil then it's seal is shot, assuming you transmission has one, Mine doesn't. Is it possible that you have put to much gear oil in the transmission? On my transmission (T9) there is an oil slinger and a path for oil to drain back into the transmission. I also have a corkscrew machined into the input shaft to coax the oil back to the transmission along the input snout/input shaft interface. From what I see in the 2R parts manual, the 3-speed transmission also does not have a input shaft seal, just a slinger.
