Spencer, lets' see...

if I can help a little on the color question. First, congratulations on becoming a Studebaker truck owner. Brian is correct that you've come to the correct place for help.

The color code on 2R trucks was on a data plate to the right of the serial/model number plate. This plate is located on the wall of the driver's door step directly under the edge of the seat. The data plate is at a 90 degrees behind the rear of the door post. The data plate includes the cab number, the paint code, the trim code. If you haven't looked behind the rear door post, take a look.

Officially, there were six (6) exterior paints on 1950 Studebaker trucks-
Cherokee Red, Iroquois Blue (light), Clover Green, Midnight Blue (dark), Cuban Tan and Chrome Yellow.

If you can find the color code on the tag, I will decode it for you, and, yes, I have color chips from an original salesman Data Book. Let us know what you can find. Good luck to you!!
