I'm looking at doing a re-build on the 259 that's in my truck. It's actually a engine from a 59 Lark that was transplanted by the previous owner. It smokes badly and oil pressure drops from being normal to very low with-in a few minutes of idling. It has a two barrel manifold which I plan to replace with a four barrel. Any hints or tips to improve this engine's performance that can be done when the motor is torn down or with bolt on stuff. My budget is limited so nothing radical.
