Ted, It's funny you say that. I'm putting a key lock in my drivers side door. I bought one at South Bend. Thought it was a truck lock; turns out it was a car lock. I ended up having to take my right side lock out to figure out what the difference was. In taking out my right side key lock it broke. The round part with the grove in it that holds the square shaft broke. But I was able to figure out that I needed to file out that tab on my new lock. Filed it out, cut the shaft shorter and now I have a key lock in my drivers side door, but now I have a nonworking right side key lock. I'll probably never use it since I have one in the left side now, but I want one that works anyway.
Nothing is ever easy.
