Well said, Ted

I decided when rebuilding my T9 I left the original gears in so I have something to practice on. I can now shift up with a rare nick and mostly not a peep. I now have started down shifting, only really from fourth to third. When I get that down pat I'll replace the gears and install that counter shaft you gave me wink.gif

BTW, does anyone know where I can purchase new gears inexpensively? I have checked these guys out. They claim that their gears will fit but suspect that the input shaft will not because their gears are for a Ford T9:http://macsautoparts.com/early-ford-pickup-transmission-4-speed/camid/FP1/cc/490/start/12/

Looks like I can get three of the four I need from SP. The one I need is the reverse Idler, 674396
