WE originally had ours on the way it shows in the pic...
(thanks for the pic by the way.)
Turned the upside down and swapped sides... that seemed worse.. so now we have put them back they way it shows in your pick.
My had a nice strong hood when we got the truck. No rusting at all. When the hood lays on the truck, the edged do stick out past the rest of the upper fenders.
We figure that's just the way it was made.
For some reason we just can't seem to figure out how those arms on the hinge reach back to the bolts. They just seem way to short - but no alterations have been made.
Maybe we'd not going about putting it on the right way. Is there some sort of trick to it...?? We tried two house yesterday, and finally gave up...
Let me clarify this... the arm on the outside of the mount bolts to the bolt closest to the back of the hood. The arm on the inside bolts to the closest bolt.
We'll have to try again tomorrow... I just wanted to make sure how the mounts faced, and which bolt went to which arm.
We are kind of trying to put the arms on with the hood close to where it'll finish in it's closed position. Thinking being if we pull the hood way forward when it went to close arms would never let the hood move back to the proper closed position...?? Somehow we are going about this wrong.??
