I am hoping that at least the transfer case and the front axle are serviceable . It would be nice if all the mounting hardware , drive shafts and controls were also good . If the 289" and 4 speed are at least rebuildable , that would be almost too much to expect . I like your idea of a Champ 4 X 4 with R2/5spd over . The Champ that never was - but should have been ! By the way , I have a 289" 4V / 5spd over , earmarked for your 2R-15 . I have also rounded up seven 19.5" full dished tubeless wheels with serviceable 8.00 X 19.5 tires for it . I've also had some of the sheet metal powdercoated , but the R-15 is a back burner project right now . The front burner project is still my '56 E-7 with a 259"/5spd over . Bob Cruse..........
