      My partner in the Salt2Salt racing effort (and T-Cabber) Greg Meyers went in for hip replacement surgery Saturday morning. He's resting somewhat uncomfortably but they have the pain managed and he's alert (between bouts of woozyness). He'll find out tomorrow or Tuesday about rehab -- whether they will send him home or to a rehab place for a week or so. He's got a few hot rod magazines and a car book or two to keep him occupied between trips to the torture center, er, I mean Physical Therapy.

      I'm not sure when he'll be back on-line but it shouldn't be more than another week or so.
