  • A query on the brakes 1/2 ton verses 3/4 ton

      I have been wondering for a very long time if the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton had the same braking power wether it is a 6 cyl. or a V8? Or if you remove a flathead 6 and install say a 289V8 in it's place is there a difference in the brake drums and shoes:? or should one be upgrading the system to something a lot safer?
