Armyby Marc Wright, DPM (no login)I doubt that they'll go into the negativity about podiatry, but if they do, just say that you hear negativity about health care in general, but it doesn't dissuade you. You want them to know that you're not going in with blinders on. Some good things to say about podiatry? Some possibilities: Tell them you enjoy working with all kinds of people. Tell them you like the idea that you can help someone immediately and have them walk out of your office satisfied (as opposed to, say, an internist or oncologist). Maybe you're interested in sports medicine and want to learn more about non-invasive ways to help athletes. You love elderly patients and know that many patients seen by DPM's are older. DPM's are rarely on call and usually work normal hours. Maybe mention the boomer generation and how they're going to need foot care in the immediate future. I wouldn't say things like you want to work low hours for good pay. Don't mention that you've seen the forum, but if you do say it's just a handful of disgruntled pods. from IP address 64.172.196.249 Goto Forum Home |
