More questions?

by Accepted podiatry student (no login)

I am still so damn psyched I can't seem to to settle down now. Finished going out with my parents to celebrate my acceptance. My mom actually had a tear in her eyes tonite while my dad gave the toast. She finally has her son the doctor. My brother never made it to the med schools he applied to, and just works as a pharmaceutical rep, but he makes good money. I want to know what kind of stethescope I should by..littman 2? I plan on going down to the medical book stores in Philly to look at the books. I can't wait to be a medical student. Lets admit it, we all do get a sense of ego in being able to be at some bar and some chickie will ask you what you do, and you can say medical student, and for you podiatry surgeons out there, it is even better. I saw how the applications to podiatry college is down, what is the main reason? I think the main problem is that enough of us don't know about it. Luckily I found out about it in time for this cycle year. It is kind of like a gem in medicine. Good hours, great pay (avg salary of $110,000), able to do sports medicine and do surgeries, I don't get why more people aren't thinking about podiatry. My roomate in college got into Temple Dental and he is also psyched. It just seems that single tracked medical schools like (Dental, POdiatry, Optometry) are the way to go. It allows for more defined knowledge bases formed earlier in our career. I am going out to celebrate my acceptance with some friends. I will post soon.

p.s. Why do posts take so long to come on here?
