Bitter reality sets in out in the Real World.by AnonDPM (no login)I have to agree with the previous posting. I even got to go to divorce court where I was constantly called a "doctor". I kept stating that I'm not a RD (real doctor). At first, I was accused of hiding over $100,000 of annual income. The judge stated that 8 years of annual income of over $100,000/year is difficult to hide (especially when I couldn't even afford to leave the country to hide it). So she ordered my wife and her lawyer to find the money bring it into court and then she'd divide it between us. I was also ordered to hand over photocopies of my appointment books and all my receipts and ledgers. They were sent to a forensic accountant for analysis. He should have been auditing Enron years ago, but he auditted my photocopies and of course he couldn't find any hidden money because there wasn't any. So when we went back to court I asked for spousal support. So her lawyer attacked me and stated that all I did was underemploy myself to the detriment of the marriage and was a lazy bum and could easy make over $100,000 year if I wanted to because he knows lots of doctors (RDs?) who make twice that amount. The judge decided to award me spousal support. So my wife got a big legal bill and now has to pay me spousal support. So the reality is go to podiatry college and marry someone who makes at least $60,000 per annum then you'll do well. from IP address 199.212.26.244 Goto Forum Home |
