Do not agreeby DPM (no login)I am tired of hearing more podiatrists equals more jobs. I understand the arguement for this theory, but do not buy it. Do not compare us to the DO profession. They were discrimintaed against for many years but due to the great need for primary care physicians they expanded. The need was so great they got privilages in city hospitals, students were accepted into allopathic residencies, and the new schools opened. Now they are seen as equals that went to less prestigious medical schools. We need to keep numbers low and make sure training is consistent.
