Hi,
The typical md,do student do not get as much exposure to wound care as a dpm student because we have so many different rotations to go through. You are correct about that. But they do get the training. I saw plenty during my vascular surgery and general surgery rotations (also internal medicine). The hospital I was at had a special wound care facility that we had to go through during our sx rotations. The opportunity is there for everyone to learn, no matter what field you are in. By the end of my rotations, I must have read about 50 articles on wound healing and Lord knows how many ulcers I debrided and Unna booted. Look, I respect you. I'm not going to argue about this anymore. It is pointless. MS3
