You're lucky you see 120 patients/week, I usually see less than 120 patients/month. Monday, I saw 2 patients; yesterday, I saw 10; today, I saw 5; I don't have any booked for tomorrow or Friday. NO KIDDIN' MAN!!!!

So I will go to a nursing home (a.k.a. toenail farm) tomorrow and Friday -where I do back breaking toenail trimming at $10/treatment. For privacy purposes... I find the resident in the hall or in the lounge, identify him/her usually their ID is missing so I ask one of the helpers there to make sure that I have found the correct person, explain to the resident what I will do and ask him/her for verbal consent. Then I take him/her to his/her room remove shoes & socks/stockings sit down on the floor, trim the toenails, file'em, put on the socks/stockings & shoes and take him/her back to where I found him/her. This takes as long as 30 min sometimes. $10 for 30 min. Boy this is a high paying profession. You can tell that's why I gross $50,000/year. NO KIDDIN' MAN!!!!

When I spoke to the resident services co-ordinator that I wanted a $1 increase...she said she understood where I was coming from but she had a letter on her desk from a recent pod grad who would be willing to charge $5/treatment and guarantee that rate for 3 years. I said that she was very generous with the $10/treatment charge and left before she showed me the permanent exit. NO KIDDIN' MAN!!!!
