So what do you people suggest we do?

I've read this forum over the last 3 years or so and know one has been able to suggest a viable way to fix the problems in podiatry.
I admit that my first reaction to most of the posts here are built on doubts since i am not personally experiencing these hardships.
But what can be done?
I feel i represent the profession well and i welcome students into my office.
I know a MD in my town who was going to concentrate on a podiatry-like practice before I came to town. When she and other patients told me this I couldn't believe it. But it made me think about the possiblity of podiatry being truly intergrated into medicine as a specialty or in some other form.
Is there a way to intergrate podiatry into the med schools similiar to how dentistry is? In my opinion it would raise the level of care we provide(managing the underlying systemic condition) and at the same time allow the nurses, PT, and others more opportunity in treating rountine/palliative foot conditions.
Yes it would completely change the profession, but I think for the better.
Just my opinions- good luck to everyone.
