Your inexperience is obvious.

Please consider this:

1. Choose one area you wish to practice as you are so excited by these statistics.

2. Call a few podiatrists in this area. Ask the receptionist for the names of the top 5 insurance companies that pay for podiatry.

3. Call each insurance company. Tell them that you are a new podiatrist that has a 999 month atomic energy podiatric surgical residency that has set up shop and you are willing to "accept" the insurance.

4. Wonder how many insurance companies will allow you to accept their insurance?

5. N O N E.

6 Why? Because you are a new guy and they don't need you and your far superior skills that nobody else has.

7. Did I say "N O N E"?

8. Sorry, Charlie. The managed care group just does not have a need for the newbee, regardless of your surgical residency and other super advantages.

9. Did we say that Medicare is cutting back? I know that that means to you that you make more money.

10. Do you think that Medicare will INCREASE fees for foot care? Ever? Or is it more logical that Medicare will cut, slice, dice, lower, or remove certain services?

11. You will have a long career with podiatry. Can you depend on the future? I mean, when you are sober?
