You guys are threatened by nurses?

Nurse practitioners are as good if not better source of patient referals for my practice than the MD's they work for! All it takes is one misdiagnosis(by the nurse) or one impressive case management(by you) and ALL the more complex cases are referred over. If they can treat simple pathology(and they can) and the patient gets better who cares!
Time to step it up guys. At this point in time we are considered the foot experts. We ALL need to represent the profession this way. Don't tell me you don't have the opportunities to do this. Go to CME's, hang out at other podiatrists offices, do a residency or fellowship(if you didn't have one or yours was inadequete), study on your own.
