15,000 city -- 5 foot docs now!!!by Dr Smith (no login)This is the absolute truth. My friend is the dominant podiatrist in a city of 15,000. But, within the last year, 4 DPMs have moved to that city with either a full time practice or part time ones. This city is the arm pit of the South. And, to compete, this established doctor took out a full page Yellow pages ad so that the others could not be first. This is yet another $700 a month expense or $8400 a year. He too has seen this practice take a hit as a local RN gets the referrals from a favorite PCP MD. LESS INCOME. LESS SURGERY. More competition in the Arm Pit of the South.
