A different prospective

I appreciate Dr. David's thoughts as usual, but again I feel obligated to counter his point with my current situation.(Not out of disresect but because I feel this forum is biased in a negative manner and I try to post for balance)
I've been out 4 years, my student loans have been paid down from over 155,000 to a balance of roughly 82,000. I netted 140,000 last year and based on this I just was approved for a 400,000 house at 5.81%. My credit was bad as recently as five years ago(podiatry school loans were not enough to live on) I guess they consider me a good risk anyway due to my income and established business.
Not trying to brag but a debt of 215,000 shouldn't be a big deal for his poster as long as things fall into place for him(which it does most of the time for podiatrists-sorry but it's the truth) It is also the truth that some do not do well and this should strongly be considered before entering the profession. Good luck to all(except those slimy pods trying to make money off the unfortunate you know who you are and shame on you)
