After you treat a few patients in private practice and not in a school clinic will I accept your opinion. I left podiatry full time 6 years ago, but I still maintain a small private practice on weekends and evenings and I do enjoy podiatry more now that I don't depend on it full time. My 3 best friends are all in podiatry. One did a 3 year surgery residency and the other did a 2 year residency. Both have more than 120,000 in loans, neither make a decent living. IF you chose to keep your blinders on and not listen to people who are trying to help you that is your choice, but to say you know more about making a living as a podiatrist just by speaking to other docs and making general observations I must draw the line. It is just dumb. The people on this board who earn a living as a podiatrist should be commended, I just feel they are the minority. I hope for your sake you are in the minority as well
