No offense, Gerald

But, I get a good laugh when I read the oft said "...those (insert MD/DO specialty) residents work so hard! I'm so glad I chose podiatry"!

Dude! They work so hard because they're going to have an excellent future practicing medicine anywhere they want to across the world!! Frankly, I was damn envious when I did my PPMR at L.A. County and worked side by side with those hard working residents. I was astute enough to realize that they were going to have a whole lot less headaches in their professional lives than me and were, at the very least, going to get JOB OFFERS AND STARTING SALARIES THAT ARE COMMENSURATE WITH THEIR HARD WORK! Not to mention crazy things like vacation pay, sick leave, bonuses, health insurance.

If you disagree with my portrayal of podiatry, then help out this 3rd year neophyte with all of the good news of multiple job opportunities with endless perks. Find 10 pod offers for new grads that are offering AT LEAST 120k with benefits, etc. They don't exist and you know it.
