Just discovered the board AND RD :-)by A happy Podiatrist (no login)I have to love the posts by RD....I quite frankly have never been so amused. RD....do you have nothing better to do with your time than bash podiatrists? Poor home life, no social life, addicted to posting (like me by the way), or some deep rooted disgust of one poor podiatrist who did you wrong? Perhaps testified in a case against you? This is a pretty obscure board, so I don't know how many are actually seeing these posts of yours, but I find them quite amusing. I have worked hand in hand with MD's and in fact even had the privelege of testifying against one of your beloved foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons last month. I am being called back to testify against him again on one of his multiple cases which have forced him/her through 3 states in the past 2 years. ( got to love re-do work ). Sorry you feel the way you do, but I would rather deal with complex issues of the foot an ankle every day, than see a bunch of snot nosed kids in a pediatric practice, or worse yet deal with head cases as a psychiatrist. I remember a few months before I graduated from school, I met a gal who was in her senior rotations prior to obtaining her M.D degree. She had the nerve to say to me....podiatry, oh I guess you didn't get into medical school. My response was Psychiatry, oh I guess you graduated at the bottom of your class. Sheepishly she walked away. In fact I was accepted to M.D, D.O, and D.P.M programs. I chose podiatry since I like the generally immediate gratification patients receive. Lord knows, I would rather see them feeling better right away, than give them a few pills for their hypertension, diabetes, thyroid condition, etc. Kind of impersonal don't you think? Don't get me wrong, I feel ALL doctors have their places including Optometrists, Chiropractors, Physiatrists, Psychologists, Podiatrists, Dentists, and reluctantly even you. I think your place is to show all people what not to be! ENJOY ALL from IP address 66.18.132.89 Goto Forum Home |
