Testimonyby A concerned Podiatrist (no login)As far as providing testimony against an orthopedist, I had the distinct pleasure of doing just such a thing a few weeks ago. There was an orthopedist in our area with a distinct disdain for podiatrists in general as well as the training we receive. He was VERY vocal about this to his patients as well as the community in general. He did hire surgical trained podiatrists to do scut work, clip nails, follow him around and deify him. Pity those who did this for the sake of a paycheck. They were never allowed any surgical priveleges, and in fact he felt the orthopedic PA was better suited to hold his "idiot sticks" during surgery. Prior to his midnight move from our fair and unamed city, he left a trail of walking wounded. A legion of iatrogenic hallux varus, multiple amputations, total uneccessary fusions, and on and on. As far as I was concerned, his ego was "writing check that his surgical skills could not cash". Since then it is my understanding that he had been in 2 other states within 1 year. We weren't able to provide testimony against them, but that did not hold true for them providing testimony against us. Well that all changed late last year where those of SIMILAR specialties could testify against one another. from IP address 207.200.116.204 Goto Forum Home |
