Think Againby Podiatrist (no login)Not very good advice my friend. You seem to think that the other job fields you listed are all without risk. Here's the newsflash, all jobs are a risk, all of life is a risk. Crossing the street is a risk. Real Estate? sure by all means invest in real estate, this is the backbone of the American dream, buy your house and enjoy. but to become a real estate investor, you will need significant capital, unless you have a rich mommy, this still means some type of hard work to get the seed capital. good luck. Investing? as in the stock market which crashed not 5 years ago? where half the country lost much of it's savings, including myself. lol. Orthodontics? great, but a successful Podiatrist makes more than a successful Orthodontist. and there are plenty of struggling Orthodontists out there, don't be mistaken. Rental units? that's a good one too, but again you will need significant start up capital. Banks don't just give you a 700,000 dollar comercial loan without significant collateral (approximately 30% down required) and even then the fun is not over, you will still have to collect the rents and make the business work. Computers? don't make me laugh, half my friends in computers were out of work from 2000-2003. Podiatry on the other hand has been recession proof in my experience. Sports? you must be joking, one in a million becomes a successful athlete. If you have the talent, go for it. But there are an awful lot of "sports" failures working in the used car lots.Do what you enjoy, the rest will come. from IP address 143.104.182.133 Goto Forum Home |
