I agree with what you are saying about the NBPMEby cfd (no login)I am a recent SCPM graduate, meaning I took Part I in July 2003 and Part II in March 2005. I probably over-prepared due to the fear of having to shell out another $900 to take a repeat exam. The fact that the exams may be more difficult in the past is okay with me, but how can they justify that price? I think 15 of my classmates (class of 60) failed part I and about 10-15 failed part II. For part I, I used the First Aid book as well, the USMLE Step I secrets series, and of course my lower notes. The basic sciences professors at SCPM dispensed study guides for each subject, but they were not very useful. For Part II, I used various class notes (our radiology and surgery notes are fantastic), the Presby Manual, Pocket Podiatrics, and the review text released by Terry Spilken at NYCPM. I plan on using the same materials for Part III. The NBPME did not release the advanced study guide by the time I took Part I, but the study questions were available when I took part II and I found them to be completely worthless. from IP address 69.171.48.38 Goto Forum Home |
