Podiatrists who read this and are interested; please respond to my email account, I'd be happy to answer any questions.... The purpose of this post is to get feedback and see what other podiatrist think about these comments.....

Podiatry Today Article: John H. McCord DPM,

In this article he states that an Ultrasound is a must for every self practicing podiatrist (Clinical). The reasoning behind this is simple, and is shrunk-down into 3 reasons...

1. The main reason for an ultrasound system is to make sure you aren't diagnosing patients incorrectly; Basically Ultrasounds help with confirming diagnosis... Avoiding legalities, loss of patients and bad reputations....

2. Podiatrists must thoroughly understand the conditions that they are trying to evaluate and to use an Ultrasound as an adjunct to their diagnostic skills, not as a screening/ revenue raising tool...

3. Increase the amount of patients per day and the efficiency of each window of care....

-Personaly I think he missed 2 other huge reasons to comment on, that he automatically benefits from...

1. You get paid on all your reimbursements from the insurance companies/providers without any hassles because you have proof of care and proof of completion...

2. You get paid more per visit and you get paid faster.... You run through more patients a day, and you don't even need to be at your facility in order to diagnosis your patients (all you need is a sonographer)....

If anyone has any comments or is interested in an Ultrasound I definitely can help out. Please feel free to respond to my email.....
