Dear Dr Options,

After being in private practice for over 30 years (and grossing only 150K to 250K/year, I moved my practice to a 30 bed hospital where my office rent is minimal 250.00/month. My supplies, staff, instrumentation, billing services,advertising/promotion, phone, and 24 ans service are paid by the hospital. In addition, due to my constant interaction with other docs, I have a strong referral base.
In my first year after the move my gross has increased to 300K and my over head is minimal, leaving me with much more personal income.

Hospitals bread and butter is surgery and your services can do much to improve their production.

I would strongly suggest that you obtain privileges at a small hospital and contract with them. You will have far fewer headaches and enjoy your practice much more.
Good fortune to you! Douglas Balfour, DPM
