The past two decades have shown us considerable advancements in our knowledge of how our body works and as scientist begin to indentify genes that control a wide range of human natures and development the question must be raised. Exactly how much 'free will' do we have? is our life coded in genes with fixed responses, natural developments, predictable behaviour. Do we really all fall into categories based on our lineage and to what extent does the environment we grow up in affect the control we have over these preprogrammed functions?
The good old nature/nurture debate, a fine topic indeed.
A lot of people don't like the idea that our genes wholly dictate who we are because it diminishes their sense that we have a choice. However, if we are not controlled by our genes then we are inevitably controlled by our upbringing, conditioning and circumstances which, unfortunately, is an equally determinist (=against free will) as the nature debate.

The right-wing parlimentary molestors fucking own you. You don't have control over yourself, you think you do but the clothes you wear, the money you spend, the food you eat is controlled. They can delete you at any time. Science is satanism/naziism, art is anti-religion, and free will is non-existant.
Current Topic - to what extent are we controlled by our genes?
