In agreement

I have to agree, I am missing it as well.
This is the best post in ages shame you dont put your name to it, so I could give you a call and give you grief.
Did you see the reds on Saturday what a team, anyone who wants to get a team together should look no further than Fergies army, they all play and work hard for each other, even though the plonker fergie plays some starnge systems, does anyone know why he was playing 4 down the middle and no wide players, if we had played 4-4-2 we would have murdered them, give each other grief and own up when they cock up. On the other hand if anyone wants to see how a team isn't look at the blue scum, no talent, no effort, no passion, no committment, no guts and certainly no glory.
No guts no glory.

I agree....

I agree with the post, after watching the pheonix the other friday night. I know their on a tight budget but the match presentation was poor and there was no atmosphere at all. No hockey game song, no crowded house at the end, the announcer doesnt help when he keeps interrupting the crowd when their banging the drums. The Aces used to provide a lot more entertainment than you get at the MEN now. somebody needs to build a rink soon, this is a sham.

Definetley need a new ice rink and a development team for Manchester that plays with passion and commitment.

If it is atmosphee and watching British plyers play with commitment you want then you will not go far wrong with the fare that will be offered on the ice at the Blackburn Arena on Saturday night.

Also the Wildfoxes foxy ladies will help create a atmosphere at the Arena with there style of chants gettng behind a team.

Better still for atmosphere you can not better going down the motorway to get in a home game of the Telford Wildfoxes best atmosphee in the country even if we are not having success on the ice there is full comited ice hockey from a good bunch of Brits includeing a ex Aces player in Jason Parry.

Plug over

Mark

PS Always on the look out for new players.

I tried the Phoenix a couple of time but Ican find a affinity with the arena. No atmosphere, to expensive for whats on offer, and no after match crack with the lads.
I have been to Deeside to watch the lads from the Aces playing for The Freeze and although this is a lot better it is still no the same as Alty.
Lets hope the council and developers can come up with something for the site in Alty. My experiance of the council though does not give me much enthusiasm.
If I had loads of dosh to put a bet on I would take even money that Peel Holding have something to do with the new development. Whether that includes a ice rink I would bet at 20/1 unless the council stick by their promises and insist.
By the way a lawyer friend of mine said the council had no power to resind that covernent but its whether anybody has the time and knowledge to push it a government level.
Anyway the latest e-mail from Linda says that there are two bids with ice rinks out of 22 showing interest and maybe more.
She recons the council will have cut them down to 4 by Christmas.
So fingers crossed for a new Rink in the future and a return to sanity for local hockey fans
Anyway if it comes off Nipper might have to start coaching again instead of spending all his money watching perfection in the Theartre of Dreams.

If we get Alty back (or an equivalent at another local spot) then from a selfish point of view I'd like it to be as like it was as it could be, in terms of players and fans and the camaraderie within and between them.

I won't say any more than that on the subject 'cos most of y'all have heard it or can guess what else is on my mind.
