Thanks Guys for a great 5 days. I've had a really good laugh. There are some memorable moments not to be forgotten, especially the transit van, where everyones smelly butts were too close for comfort and NHL ice time.
Hope you all really enjoyed it as much as Me and Dave did.
See you all soon.x.
Special Request from me for next year - could I have a seat on the Plane, away from drunk Dave and Russ Please, Noisy S*ds.LOL.

Heard about Daves mishap with the pillow on the plane and about the transit van LOL
Russ and Azz looked like they had not slept for a week but both said they had a fantastic time thanks to everyone for arranging it . Good team building LOL |

Good trip, heh? Great time had by all. Even though I've got the pictures I don't believe we were really there. We're so indebted to Lynne.
Jamie and Sarah are still asleep (I think I am)
If anyone wants to look how the stick search is going (nowt yet, midday Thursday)... go to customer service on flybmi.com and take the lost baggage option and use MANBD26885 and our surname. Nothing to see really, but it makes me feel I'm doing something! (if I were really clever I'd be able to put t'Internet link. But I'm not).
Is there anywhere we could all put our snaps so that everyone can see 'em? |

Just spoken to BMI, they say the sticks didn't come with us from Ottawa. But they are now in Heathrow. Or, maybe, in Manchester. (Could be any where I suppose.)
Hopefully we should have them in a couple of days. I'll keep you posted. |

Spoken to BMI again. I was going to go to London to pick the sticks up. BUT ...The girl, on Thursday, was making up the Heathrow bit. They haven't a clue where the sticks are. The bloke couldn't confirm that they had left Ottawa and he wasn't too happy when I suggested they could be anywhere in the world. Don't hold your breath for Tuesday. |

I spoke to them this morning and explained how much this was costing in lost ice-time, £200 a session (real) and in lost games (fiction!) say £500 a 'bus. They said they'd look into it with some urgency. They weren't best pleased when I suggested that any lost bag should not be classed as non-urgent, especially with a value of around £3000 and after a week of being lost. Lot of bluster and then blanked, just said they'd urge it (again). I hope this isn't another snow lob like last Thursday.
We haven't had a 'phone call to arrange delivery (bad sign?). I know Jamie's sticks sat for four dasy in M/c Airport before delivery last time. I'll try calling Ringway and see if I can go and collect 'em. |

Spoken to BMI again. I was going to go to London to collect the bag if they'd let me. But... They said the bag in Heathrow is not ours. Caroline (whoever that is) is to ring me tomorrow. I'm beginning to despair, and my left ear is going numb in a 'phone shape. |

'They said the bag in Heathrow is not ours.'
So who's bag full of hockey sticks was it? |

| Re: The Sticks | March 6 2008, 9:50 AM |
I asked that and just how many bags full of sticks are lying around the world, because we are getting to the point where we'll take anyone's. The girl seemed/feigned not to understand (but she was in India and senses of humour(!) differ around the world). I'd love to understand the process they use to trace/recover bags. It does seem a bit neolithic, espscially if they've been sent to Honolul or Tashkent. Do you you know, Mr Oddy? Is there a database of undelivered bags that airline staff can access? |

Hope they turn up soon, I can't skate without a stick!! Well, can't skate that well with one. Just like to say on behalf of the whole team, thanks for all the effort you are putting in trying to find out where they are. Has the blood returned to your legs from the ride in the back of the transit yet? | |
