Before the "surprise attack" there is a close up shot of confederate soldiers in which you see their belt buckles. Some confederate soldiers are seen with "US" belt buckles right side up. Confederate soldiers did have "US" belt buckles, but they turned them upside down to make a "SN" for Southern Nation.
