This could be disconcerting if not for the fact that close observation of many old tintpes and photos of the Civil War era reveal facial hair, in general, often appears pasted on. I myself sport a hairy countenance and have, on more then one occasion, noticed how unreal it seems. I suppose re-constructed fur is in the eye of the beholder.
