YES!!!! You GOT THE POINT!!!!!

The kid didn't deserve to die, that's my point! But he was foolish and put himself in a position where his life was in danger. His actions didn't merit death - but they enabled it.

I'm no different. I did some stupid shit too (though I had a sense that it was foolish to damage people's property). Obviously the guy who shot this kid is criminal and immoral. But the kid was foolish. Isn't it clear at this point what the difference is?

Going back to my other post, here's what the kid might say if he could evaluate this situation today:

"That man shouldn't have shot me. He was wrong for that. And I shouldn't have egged his car. I was foolish for doing that."

Two people acted in a way that fascilitated this event. One did something foolish, and one did something immoral (and criminal, in this case). It should be clear which was which.

But one thing that should be manifestly clear to you by now, particularly with your admission that this kid was no more foolish than you or I, is that the kid did not deserve to die for his foolishness. At best, he deserved to give the car owner an apology and a free car wash.

Unfortunately, he egged the car of an immoral and criminal person. Unfortunately, he threw eggs at cars indescrimintaly, and didn't take into consideration the fact that there are people out there who cannot keep things in perspective, and don't realize that thier car isn't worth a human life. Unfortuantely, he didn't realize that. And that was his folly.
