I've been trying for many years now to find out any information about S/Sgt. Plageman. He was a radio-op/gunner with the 823rd squadron. He went down in the Coral Sea January 28, 1944 during a storm. He was a part of the Renshaw crew to my understanding and pretty much flew with him on the 29 missions S/Sgt. Plageman did complete before his death.
I've got his military records. A picture of his Radio Operator class in Chicago. A picture of him with a couple of buddies in a restuarant in Chicago during radio/op school, but little else.
Would die for a crew picture with him.

I returned from the 38th BG 2004 reunion in St. Louis last night. The best news is that the Association will not be disbanding. We have scheduled our next reunion to be held in Phoenix in 2006, probably in mid-October.
At the reunion, I was made aware of a large file of information about the 38th that will become available to me in the near future. When I receive that CD, I will search for further information for you and get in touch. There are also a large number of pictures on several CDs that will be made available to me. At this time, the details of identities and information on these CDs is not known to me.
I would appreciate receiving an e-mail from you so that I may contact you more directly.
I will be the new editor for our Association news letter. We may be able to make this available to you electronically. When we get that set up, I will let you know if you have contacted me by e-mail.
