I'm looking for data concerning my father, the late Captain AW Hopper, RA18108292, who served with the 405th through 1944. I know that he was on the Ormoc Bay shipping raids, and I believe that S.Sgt Boccelli was on his plane, as I remember a group photo that was captioned "We lost Boccelli." Any information, but especially crew and plane photos would be greatly appraeciated.
Most sincerely, and with greatest respect,
John Hopper

John,

I flew with the 405th from July 1944 to April 1945. The Battle of Ormoc Bay was in November of 1944. I happened to be in Sydney, Aus., on R&R.

Our Reunion will be in St. Louis next week. I'll post your request and we may hit a little pay dirt. I am helping to revive our news letter. I'll let you knowwhat the charge wold be to include you on our mailing list.

Get in touch with me.

David Gunn
