Ken,

Thanks for your inquiry.

I am the new editor for our Association newsletter. My first issue will be out in two or three weeks. This is the first of a series that will cover the history of the 38th in four-month sections - this issue up through April, 1942. The May issue will cover the period of May, 1942, through August, 1942.

The material will be all the stories that have appeared in previous issues which are being arranged in chronological sequence. We welcome new stories which will be worked into this schedule.

I invite you to become an associate member of our Association which will entitle you to receive these newsletters and to attend our next reunion in Phoenix sometime in October, 2006. Our dues are $20 for two years; the present membership period runs from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006. You may contact Bill McKinstry, 473 Evergreen Dr., Tonawanda, NY 14150.

Steve,

Please send me an e-mail with a mailing address and I will send you a copy of our newsletter. I regret to inform you that we cannnot accept new associate members at this time because of a legal requirement that specifies a ration of associate members to veteran members and the maximum number of associate members has been reached.

I would also like to discuss the memorabilia and pictures you may have which you are willing to share with us.

I will place your request for information about your day in our May newsletter.
