My name is Clayton Sikes and My grandfather was with the 38th bomb group in New Guinea in 1943. His name was SSGT Warren R. Sikes. He died in 1985 before I ever had a chance to talk about his experiences in the war. Does anyone remember him? Also, I just discovered a whole mess of photographs from his time in New Guinea. There are a lot of pictures of other guys that I would like to identify.
Thanks, Clayton Sikes

I meant to respond to you some time ago but was in the process of finishing our January newsletter and failed to get back to you.
If we could get a set of your pictures to post at our reunion next September 28-30 in Phoenix, we might be able to get some identifications for you. You could scan them and attach them to e-mails to me a few at a time.
In addition, we are always very interested in adding to our files of pictures for use in our newsletter, especially if they relate to some combat mission or perhaps to an incident at our bases of operation. We may be able to use only one or two but having the chance to see and pick appropriate pictures is a cherished opportunity.
Get in touch with me directly and we might be able to work something out to help you and to help us. I am the editor of our newsletter which is published three times a year.
