Okay, so she wanted to get back at him. She was a sneaky, slutty student who had the gall and lack of self-respect to try to sell herself for a grade and then to exact a mutually embarrassing revenge on Gale.
But, why would she then send him a postcard like that much later in life? That part doesn't make sense. It seems like something created solely to make Gale look better, yet its believability is far-reaching. What person of such character would then go on to send such an apologetic postcard?
