thanks for all these comments! i saw the movie last nite in in the absence of real people to rehash it with i hopped online looking for life of david gale discussion forums. i really liked this movie. dont find it nearly as confusing as some people did but it was slightly thought provoking. the death penalty itself had little to do with the movies overall commentary which i felt was interesting. the movie borders on brilliant in that you can pretty much take whatever you choose from it depending on your own mores. to me it spoke to how much of a hash we can make of our lives thru our own flawed motivations and subsequent bad decisions. but then as a friend once said to me, everyones always alright in the end. and if theyre not then its not the end.
